GHANA’S 69TH INDEPENDENCE ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATED IN OTTAWA

The High Commission of the Republic of Ghana in Ottawa successfully hosted a week-long series of events from March 3–7, 2026 to commemorate Ghana’s 69th Independence Anniversary. Activities included an Open Day at the Chancery, a Flag Raising Ceremony at Ottawa City Hall, a National Day Diplomatic Reception, and a community celebration organized with the Ghanaian Association of Ottawa. The events brought together diplomats, government officials, and members of the Ghanaian community to celebrate Ghana’s achievements, cultural heritage, and the strong relationship between Ghana and Canada
